Exemplaire sur un flan large, épais, bien centré des deux côtés. Beau portrait. Usure importante, mais parfaitement lisible et identifiable. Belle patine vert noir, légèrement granuleuse

Poids lourd. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Divisionnaire rare.

Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
