Exemplaire de grande qualité pour un tétradrachme et d’autant plus pour Gordien III césar. La pièce est parfaitement centrée et le buste de Gordien est très expressif. La monnaie est couverte d’une jolie patine homogène. Petite corrosion au revers

Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
