Ce denier est frappé sur un flan assez large, légèrement irrégulier. Exemplaire recouvert d’une patine grise et présentant quelques faiblesses de frappe. Le revers est légèrement tréflé

Historical background
VENDÔMOIS - VENDÔME
Made up of the Vendôme region and the Loir Valley, Vendômois was confiscated from the English by Philippe Auguste and attached to the royal domain in 1214. Erected as a duchy in 1515 for the house of Bourbon, it was given to César de Bourbon, natural son of Henri IV and Gabrielle d'Estrées. The duchy was definitively attached to the Crown in 1712.
