Lot comprenant deux monnaies de 1 Dollar James Buchanan pour l’atelier de Philadelphie et l’atelier de Denver.
James Buchanan (1791-1868) est le quinzième président des États-Unis est élu le 4 novembre 1856 pour un mandat de 1857 à 1861. Élu démocrate, il ne parvient pas à maintenir la cohésion du pays divisé sur la question de l’esclavage. Il cède sa place au républicain Abraham Lincoln alors que le pays est virtuellement en guerre.
Lot including two James Buchanan 1 Dollar coins for the Philadelphia mint and the Denver mint. James Buchanan (1791-1868) was the fifteenth President of the United States, elected on November 4, 1856, for a term from 1857 to 1861. Elected as a Democrat, he failed to hold together the country divided over the issue of slavery. He ceded his place to the Republican Abraham Lincoln while the country was virtually at war.
