Obverse description : Saint Georges, nu, casqué, le manteau flottant sur l'épaule, tenant un glaive de la main droite, galopant à droite, terrassant un dragon. Signé : B. P..

Reverse description : Légende inscrite en 4 lignes dans une couronne de chêne.

Commentary

La médaille a été remise à Madame G. Wissa pour l’Égypte.
Parmi les poinçons visibles sur la tranche, on peut identifier un lion, les lettres DW, la lettre O. L’un des deux derniers semble être la représentation d’un portail ou d’un château à deux tours. Le dernier est illisible.
The medal was awarded to Mrs. G. Wissa for Egypt. Among the hallmarks visible on the edge, we can identify a lion, the letters DW, and the letter O. One of the last two appears to be the representation of a gate or a castle with two towers. The last is illegible.
