Obverse description : Au centre, le blason de la ville d’Annonay représentant une alternance de cases jaunes (vides) et rouges (traits verticaux). Au-dessus, un bandeau avec la devise d’Annonay : “CIVES ET SEMPER CIVES”. L’ensemble est surmonté d’une couronne à cinq tours. Sous le blason, un autre bandeau avec le nom de la ville : “ANNONAY”. Sous le bandeau, le nom du graveur : J. BORY.
