La classe V est caractéristique avec les lèvres qui sont marquées au droit, symbolisées par deux globules, pour un module moyen d’environ 16 mm, et un poids moyen de 2,98 grammes.

Historical background
TURONES (Area of Touraine)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The people of the Turons, settled on the Loire, left their name to Tours and Touraine. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. They seem to have grown in importance after the disappearance of the Arverne empire in 121 BC. Like the Pictons, the Turons provided eight thousand men for the relief army which was to release Alesia. Their main oppidum seems to have been placed near the site of Amboise. Caesar (BG. II, 35; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 46).
