Exemplaire sur un flan large et épais pour une imitation. Très beau portrait de Tétricus II. Revers fortmement stylisé. Très belle patine marron foncé

Obverse legend : C PIV ESV TETRICVS CAES (LÉGENDE DÉFORMÉE).
Obverse description : Buste radié, drapé et cuirassé de Tétricus II à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A2).
Obverse translation : "Caius Pius Esuvius Tetricus Cæsar", (Caius Pius Esuvius Tétricus césar).

Reverse legend : SPE-S - AVGG (LÉGENDE DÉFORMÉE).

Poids très lourd. Sans argenture. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Imitation du type SPES AVGG (RCV. 11292).

Caesar
If Tétricus I became august on Victorin's death, Tétricus II did not become Caesar until around 273. The following year, Aurélien put an end to the Gallic Empire after the battle of Châlons-sur-Marne and seized the people of Tétricus and his son. They participate in the triumph of Aurelian in Rome at the end of 274. After which, they both survive and continue a senatorial career.
