Exemplaire sur un flan ovale et bien centré des deux côtés. Portrait de haut relief. Joli revers de style fin. Belle patine gris métallique avec des reflets dorés. Conserve une partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Poids lourd. Avec son argenture. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges larges. En douze ans, nous n’avions proposé ce type qu’une seule fois (ROME III).

According to A. Chastagnol, the interregnum lasts nearly two months, between the end of September and the beginning of December 275 at most. The same researcher establishes that Tacitus was not elected by the Senate alone, but with the help of the army, during a diplomatic ballet between Rome and the Pannonian armies, so that Tacitus would accept the purple.
