La boîte, en cuivre et l’intérieur en cuivre étamé est une “relique du roi Charles XII de Suède”. Intéressant témoignage numismatique, cette boîte, de 162 mm de diamètre et 47 mm d’épaisseur, porte plusieurs monnaies en cuivre ayant circulé au début du régne de Charles XII ou avant que le pays soit affaibli par les guerres auxquelles Charles XII a participé.
Au centre du couvercle est visible une Ore en cuivre de la reine Christina de 1685, autour, sont montées 12 monnaies en cuivre de Goertz, des dalers (1715-1719), certaines dorées d’autres non. Dans les espaces entre les pièces, il y a un texte soigneusement gravé, qui, avec les noms sur les pièces d'urgence forment une rime connue : MARS med MERCURIUS samt SATURNUS som inbillade sig vara lika god som JUPITER gör dig FLINK OCH FÄRDIG med WETT OCH WAPEN att strida med den store hjelten PHOEBUS efter de så illa handterat PUBLICA FIDE och understått sig att sälja KRONAN för 1 DALER SM hvarmed HOPPET tog en ända genom C(ARL) XII R(EX) S(VECIAE) 1718. La traduction est un peu incertaine mais cela ressemble à : MARS avec MERCURE et SATURNE qui imaginait être aussi bon que JUPITER vous rend BON ET FINI avec DROIT ET ARMES pour vous battre avec le grand héros PHOEBUS après la si mal gérée PUBLICA FIDE et s'est engagé à vendre la COURONNE [...]

The box, made of copper and the interior of tinned copper, is a “relic of King Charles XII of Sweden”. An interesting numismatic testimony, this box, 162 mm in diameter and 47 mm thick, contains several copper coins that circulated at the beginning of the reign of Charles XII or before the country was weakened by the wars in which Charles XII participated..
In the center of the lid is visible a copper Ore of Queen Christina from 1685, around it are mounted 12 copper coins of Goertz, dalers (1715-1719), some gilded others not. In the spaces between the pieces there is a carefully engraved text, which together with the names on the emergency pieces form a known rhyme: MARS med MERCURIUS samt SATURNUS som inbillade sig vara lika god som JUPITER gör dig FLINK OCH FÄRDIG med WETT OCH WAPEN att strida med den store hjelten PHOEBUS efter de så illa handterat PUBLICA FIDE och understått sig att sälja KRONAN för 1 DALER SM hvarmed HOPPET tog en ända genom C(ARL) XII R(EX) S(VECIAE) 1718. The translation is a bit uncertain but it sounds like: MARS with MERCURY and SATURN who imagined to be as good as JUPITER makes you GOOD AND DONE with RIGHT AND ARMS to fight with the great hero PHOEBUS after the so badly managed PUBLICA FIDE and pledged to sell the CROWN [. . . ] The box is cited in “The coin collector's journal illustrated”, Vol..
