L’Urfa-Lille, fondée en 1935, a été l’un des premiers clubs français de cyclotourisme à voir le jour, c’est en tout cas le plus ancien de la région Nord Pas-de-Calais. De 1950 à 2014, l'Urfa a organisé chaque année le brevet des “Monts des Flandres”, puis a créé en 1952 la “Randonnée Flandres Artois.
