Commentary


Le titre et le comté de Soissons passèrent à la maison de Savoie-Carignan, par le mariage (1625) de Marie de Bourbon, dite mademoiselle de Soissons, sœur de Louis Il, avec Thomas-François de Savoie, prince de Carignan.
Cette nouvelle maison de Soissons a fourni les comtes de Soissons : Eugène-Maurice (1635-1673), époux d'Olympe Mancini, nièce de Mazarin ; Louis-Thomas, frère aîné du prince Eugène de Savoie, tué à Landau, marié à Uranie de la Cropte-Beauvais.
The title and county of Soissons passed to the House of Savoy-Carignan, through the marriage (1625) of Marie de Bourbon, known as Mademoiselle de Soissons, sister of Louis II, with Thomas-François de Savoie, Prince of Carignan. This new House of Soissons provided the Counts of Soissons: Eugène-Maurice (1635-1673), husband of Olympe Mancini, niece of Mazarin; Louis-Thomas, elder brother of Prince Eugène de Savoie, killed at Landau, married to Uranie de la Cropte-Beauvais
