Exemplaire sur un flan irrégulier bien centré à l’usure régulière. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Patine grise avec des reflets métalliques. Trace de frappe incuse au revers

Caesar
Salonin was raised to the cesarat after the death of his brother, Valérien II. Sent to Gaul, under the protection of Postumus then simple general, he was proclaimed august after the capture of Valerian I in June or July 260. Postumus, proclaimed august in his turn, besieged Salonin and had him put to death.
