Exemplaire parfaitement centré sur un flan ovale et épais. Joli portrait. Revers inhabituel. Agréable patine vert olive foncé

Reverse description : Hercule nu, debout à droite, la léonté posée sur l'avant-bras gauche, s'appuyant sur sa massue de la main droite et tenant un arc de la main gauche.

Commentary
Exemplaire de même coin de droit que le numéro 105a (de revers différent) du catalogue de Pierre Bastien, conservé au Rheinisches Landesmuseum de Bonn.

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
