Reverse description : Sol radié, nu, courant à gauche, le manteau flottant sur l'épaule gauche, levant la main droite et tenant un fouet de la gauche.

Commentary
Poids très lourd. Avec l’intégralité de son argenture. Rubans de type 3. Ptéryges invisibles sous le paludamentum. Trace de cassure de coin visible dans la légende et le champ du revers.

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
