Flan de forme ovale, court et centré, quelques éclatements. Superbe buste de Postume, très bien venu à la frappe. Revers plus faible mais agréable. Patine grise aux reflets cuivrés

Postume seizes the purple by eliminating Salonin, son of Gallien, of whom he had custody. He reigns over Gaul, Brittany and Spain. Did Postume toy with the idea of conquering the Roman Empire? Gallien, twice, will try to reconquer the "pars occidentalis" of the Empire, without success. Postume will remain in power for nine years, before perishing assassinated for having refused the sack of Mainz, a city which supported Lélien.
