Exemplaire parfaitement centré. Superbe portrait, revers bien venu à la frappe. Patine grise aux reflets métalliques avec de petites taches marron

Obverse translation : “Imperator Cæsar Postumus Pius Felix Augustus”, (L’empereur césar Postume pieux heureux auguste).

Reverse legend : IOVI - CONS-E-RVATORI.

Reverse description : Jupiter nu, debout à gauche, le manteau tombant sur l’épaule, tenant un foudre de la main gauche et un sceptre long de la main droite ; à ses pieds, un petit personnage tourné à gauche l’implorant.

Reverse translation : “Iovi Conservatori”, (À Jupiter conservateur).

Commentary

Avec l’intégralité de son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 3. Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce type de monnayage. Même coin de revers que l’exemplaire du Cabinet des médailles de la BnF, Paris 1985/594 (AGK. 35, pl. 4). H. Schulzki signale seulement neuf exemplaires pour ce rarissime revers. L’exemplaire de MONNAIES 38 (en SPL), de même coin de revers, avait réalisé 1500€.
