Commentary
Avec la croix entre les jambes et le triskèle au-dessus, caractéristique de la série B (avec droit et revers à gauche) du type “aux deux chevaux”, 25 exemplaires sont recensés par G. Depeyrot, dont les onze exemplaires de la BN (provenant tous du trésor d’Issoudun et Charnizay) et neuf dans d’autres musées (français et étrangers).
Un seul exemplaire provient du marché ; le n° 1668 de la collection F. de Saulcy (vente Cahn du 5 avril 1933).
With the cross between the legs and the triskele above, characteristic of the B series (with right and reverse on the left) of the “two horses” type, 25 examples are listed by G.
