Exemplaire sur un flan large et ovale parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait du roi avec une petite rayure dans le champ devant le buste. Revers de style fin, bien venu à la frappe. Très belle patine de médaillier avec des reflets dorés

Obverse description : Buste du roi à gauche, tête nue avec un bandeau simple, sans nœud qui tombe derrière la tête, la chevelure couvrant l’oreille, la barbe courte.

Reverse description : Le roi (Arsacès) à droite est assis sur un trône à dossier, tenant un arc de la main droite.

Commentary

Poids lourd pour un tétradrachme. Ce type semble plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux. C’est la première fois que nous proposons un exemplaire à la vente.
