Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce type de monnayage sur un flan très large et les grènetis complets des deux côtés, légèrement irrégulier. Portrait d’Octave fantastique, presque irréel. Revers de toute beauté où tous les détails sont bien gravés avec une minuscule faiblesse de frappe sur la tête. Une infime petite rayure dans le champ du revers à droite. Magnifique patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés et bleutés acier. A conservé son brillant de frappe et une partie de son coupant d’origine

(63 BC - 27 BC)
Octavian, born September 23, 63 BC in Thurium, was adopted by his great-uncle, Julius Caesar, in 45 BC.
