Commentary

According to Dominique Legros, this denier, with two Ws above the pediment of the temple, is known from a unique denier kept in the Cabinet des médailles in Brussels from a lot of 423 Norman deniers acquired in 1952. This denier also has these W/Ws and seems to be the second known, perhaps the only one in the trade.
