Monnaie frappée sur un flan irrégulier présentant une jolie patine grise. Le relief est assez haut au droit comme au revers et le lion est bien venu à la frappe

On January 23, 1579, the five provinces of Holland, Zeeland, Utrecht, Gelderland and Friesland United Provinces formed a federal state during the Union of Utrecht. The province of Overijssel joined the five provinces in the same year, that of Groningen in 1594. In July 1581, the deputies of the northern provinces declared Philip II deposed.
