Reverse description : Temple hexastyle avec fronton triangulaire décoré de statues et orné d'une couronne ; à l'intérieur, statue de Rome casquée et drapée, assise sur un bouclier à gauche, tenant un globe et une haste.
Reverse translation : “Conservatores Urbis Suæ”, (Les protecteurs de leur Ville).
Commentary
Rubans de type 3. H dans le champ à gauche pour Herkoulios, lié à Maximien Hercule et rappelant la filiation divine de la Tétrarchie ou Maximien était rattaché à Hercule tandis que Dioclétien était placé sous la protection de Jupiter.

Maxentius, son of Maximian, was proclaimed Caesar on October 28, 306 in Rome, then took the title of Filius Augustorum. In 307, he was proclaimed august, controlling Italy and Africa with the help of Maximian. In 308, he lost Africa with the revolt of Alexander.
