Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale bien centré. Belle tête de Maxence. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Patine marron foncé

Augustus
Maxentius, son of Maximian, was proclaimed Caesar on October 28, 306 in Rome, then took the title of Filius Augustorum. In 307, he was proclaimed august, controlling Italy and Africa with the help of Maximian. In 308, he lost Africa with the revolt of Alexander.
