Obverse description : Buste lauré consulaire de Maxence à droite vu de trois quarts en avant, tenant le scipio de la main droite (H*4).
Obverse translation : “Imperator Maxentius Pius Felix Augustus Consul iterum”, (L’empereur Maxence pieux heureux auguste consul pour la seconde fois).

Reverse legend : CONSERV - VRB SVAE/ -|-// AQS.
Reverse description : Temple hexastyle avec fronton triangulaire orné et décoré ; à l'intérieur, statue de Rome casquée et drapée assise à gauche, tenant un globe et une haste, derrière, un bouclier ; le fronton triangulaire est orné d'un croissant.
Reverse translation : “Conservatores Urbis Suæ”, (Les protecteurs de leur ville).

Augustus

Maxentius, son of Maximian, was proclaimed Caesar on October 28, 306 in Rome, then took the title of Filius Augustorum.
