Commentary

Jacques Daveyne ou d’Aveyne est le fils d’Édouard. Il est conseiller de ville, conseiller du roi et trésorier général de France au bureau des finances de Lyon. Il épouse vers 1582 Catherine de Molla. Il porte d’azur au chevron d’argent, chargé de trois mouchetures d’hermine et accompagné en pointe d’une rose au chef de gueules chargé d’un lion issant d’or. Ce jeton est probablement un jeton “de mariage” et indique le titre de trésorier général obtenu en 1582 par Daveyne (reçu le 2 avril et installé le 18 avril).
Jacques Daveyne or d'Aveyne is the son of Édouard. He is a city councilor, advisor to the king and general treasurer of France at the finance office of Lyon. He married Catherine de Molla around 1582. He wears azure with a silver chevron, charged with three ermine spots and accompanied in base by a rose with a chief gules charged with a lion issuant or. This token is probably a \\\"marriage\\\" token and indicates the title of general treasurer obtained in 1582 by Daveyne (received on April 2 and installed on April 18)
