Ce quart d’écu est frappé sur un flan large et régulier laissant apparaître l’essentiel des grènetis extérieurs. Exemplaire recouvert d’une jolie patine grise de médaillier et présentant de hauts reliefs

Les quarts d'écu à la mèche courte ont été frappés dans seulement trois ateliers : Paris de 1643 à 1645, Lyon de 1645 à 1651 et Troyes en 1654 et 1655.
