Très bel exemplaire sur un flan assez large et bien centré. Cet exemplaire a probablement été nettoyé par immersion dans un produit de trempage. Petites marques de manipulation. Un joli jeton avec une belle composition

Commentary

Très rare jeton qui était inconnu de Feuardent et que Florange signale dans la troisième édition de son armorial en 1921 selon Quintard V, 11 mais indique “non retrouvé”. Les armes de François Poirot portent d’azur à trois pals d’argent surmontés en chef de trois étoiles d’or. François Poirot était secrétaire intime du duc Léopold de Lorraine. Celles de Catherine Dorion portent d’argent à une rose de même accostée de trois étoiles de même. À noter que si ce jeton a pu être interprété comme un jeton de mariage, ce n’est pas le cas .
Very rare token that was unknown to Feuardent and that Florange reports in the third edition of his armorial in 1921 according to Quintard V, 11 but indicates “not found”. The arms of François Poirot are azure with three silver pales surmounted in chief by three gold stars. François Poirot was private secretary to Duke Leopold of Lorraine. Those of Catherine Dorion are silver with a rose of the same flanked by three gold stars. Note that if this token could have been interpreted as a marriage token, this is not the case
