Commentary

Cette monnaie n’est pas une frappe officielle. En 1928, le roi Victor-Emmanuel III est le roi et donc le chef de l’État. Entre 1928 et 1943, Benito Mussolini n’est que président du conseil. Entre 1943 et 1945, il dirige la République Sociale Italienne, état satellite de l’Allemagne nazie. Seule des monnaies de 10 centesimi en acmonital à l’effigie de Victor-Emmanuel III ont été frappées à l’atelier d’Aoste à Cogne. La présente monnaie apparaît à partir des années 1970.
This coin is not an official mint. In 1928, King Victor Emmanuel III was the king and therefore the head of state. Between 1928 and 1943, Benito Mussolini was only president of the council. Between 1943 and 1945, he led the Italian Social Republic, a satellite state of Nazi Germany. Only 10 centesimi coins in Acmonital bearing the image of Victor Emmanuel III were minted at the Aosta mint in Cogne. The present coin appeared from the 1970s onwards.
