Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale, bien centré des deux côtés à l’usure régulière. Beau portrait d’Apollon. Très joli revers. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

Magnesia had been founded by the Magnetes, originating from Thessaly. The city, bathing at the foot of the Meander, was famous for its temple of Artemis Leucophyrene, built by Hermogenes around 190 BC and whose remains can still be admired today..
