Denier frappé sur un flan un peu court et ovale, avec une belle tête complète et un revers inhabituel. Patine grise, un peu sableuse par endroits, surtout dans les creux

Ce type de revers, pourtant si caractéristique ne semble pas du tout répertorié. La légende du droit semble difficile à restituer, ce qui rend l’attribution de ce denier compliquée. L’avers avec une tête radiée correspond plutôt aux régions d’Orléans, de Poitiers et de Bourges, sans plus de précisions.
This type of reverse, although so characteristic, does not seem to be recorded at all. The legend on the obverse seems difficult to reconstruct, which makes the attribution of this denarius complicated. The obverse with a radiate head corresponds rather to the regions of Orléans, Poitiers and Bourges, without further details.
