Cette médaille présente de hauts reliefs et a conservé une partie de son brillant de frappe. Traces de manipulation et frottements dans les champs. Présence de coups et rayures, entre autre sur la joue d’Omphale

Commentary
Médaille attribuée en 1876 à François Albert Sarlande en tant que député de Dordogne. Il naquit le 18 avril 1847 à Alger (Algérie) et décéda le 30 août 1913 dans le château de la Borie à Champagnac-de-Belair (Dordogne). Il est le fils de Jean Sarlande, maire d’Alger. Après être entré dans le corps préfectoral, il devint maire de Cantillac en 1875 puis député de la Dordogne dans la circonscription de Nontron de 1876 à 1881. Il était inscrit au groupe bonapartiste de l’Appel au peuple. Il se retire de tout mandat politique national et exerça par la suite des fonctions électives municipales comme conseiller à Cantillac puis à Champagnac-de-Belair.
