Dans le Van Arsdell, ce monnayage commence en argent et se termine en “AR/AE”. On pourrait assister à une immobilisation d’un type monétaire, initialement frappé en argent et finalement en mauvais alliage jusqu’à avoir des monnaies de bronze.

Historical background
ICENI - ICENIAN
(1st century BC)
The Iceni occupied a territory which covers Norfolk and part of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. Coinage seems to begin in the second half of the 1st century BC. We have little information on the Iceni before Claudius' conquest of Britain in 43. Tacitus (An. XII, 31; XIV, 31). Ptolemy (G. II, 3).
