Exemplaire sur un petit flan et ovale, irrégulier, bien centré, à l’usure importante, mais parfaitement lisible et identifiable. Joli revers. Patine vert foncé

Poids très léger. Traces de surfrappe au revers. Martine est bien visible à gauche avec les cheveux longs.
Very light weight. Traces of overstamping on the reverse. Martine is clearly visible on the left with long hair.

HERACLIUS, HERACLIUS CONSTANTINE and MARTINA

(614-638)

Martine was Heraclius' second wife, but also his niece. Heraclius married her in 614. She was the mother of Heraclonas, born in 626, created Caesar in 630, associated in 638 and who reigned alone between April 20 and October 641. Martine and her son after their abdication were mutilated and exiled to Rhodes.
