HERACLIUS, HERACLIUS CONSTANTIN and MARTINE

(614-638)

Martine was the second wife of Heraclius, but also his niece. Heraclius married 614. She was the mother of Héraclonas, born in 626, created Caesar in 630, 638 and partner who reigned only between April 20 and October 641. Martine and her son were mutilated after abdication and exile to Rhodes.
