Exemplaire sur un flan large, parfaitement centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis complets. Très beau portrait d’Hélène. Joli revers de style fin. Jolie patine vert foncé

Wife of Constantius I, mother of Constantine I - Augusta
Helena, mother of Constantine and first wife of Constantius Chlorus, received the title of augusta in 324. After the death of Fausta and Crispus, she went to the Holy Land. In Jerusalem, she discovered remains of the true cross and founded many institutions. She died in 328, was sanctified and entered in the calendar.
