Commentary
Georges II (10/11/1683-25/10/1760) est le fils de Georges Ier (1714-1727) et de Sophie-Dorothée de Brunswick. Il succéda à son père en 1726 et fut aussi duc de Brunswick et de Lunebourg. Il laissa gouverner Walpole jusqu'en 1742. Il fut le premier roi hanovrien à s'intéresser à l'Angleterre.
