Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, parfaitement centré avec les grènetis complets. Très beau portrait, bien venu à la frappe. Joli revers de style fin, mais de frappe un peu molle sur les légendes. Jolie patine grise avec des reflets métalliques. Conserve une partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
