Exemplaire sur un flan large et ovale, bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Belle tête de Géta. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Rubans de type 2. Dans la base TSP maintenue par Michel Prieur, trente-trois exemplaires sont maintenant répertoriés. Curieusement, le type n’est pourtant présent que dans quatre collections de musées, au British Museum (cinq exemplaires), à l’ANS (ex Newell), à Boston (ex Gush Halav Hoard) et à Berne.

Augustus
Geta, born on May 26, 189, became Caesar in 198 and the following year received the title of pontifex. He accompanies his father and his brother to Brittany from 208 and is raised to Augustat the following year. When Septimius Severus died in York on February 4, 211, the two brothers brought their father's ashes back to Rome and became co-emperors. But they hate each other. Finally, after a year of joint rule, Caracalla kills his brother in their mother's arms. Geta is dedicated to "damnatio memoriæ" (damnation of memory). His supporters are systematically massacred.
