Fils de l’Empereur d’Allemagne Guillaume Ier, Frédéric III devient kaiser le 3 mars 1888 à la mort de son père. Atteint d’un cancer du larynx, il décède après 99 jours de règne le 15 juin 1888 sans avoir pû mettre en oeuvre ses idées libérales.
Son of the German Emperor Wilhelm I, Frederick III became Kaiser on March 3, 1888, upon the death of his father. Suffering from laryngeal cancer, he died after 99 days of reign on June 15, 1888, without having been able to implement his liberal ideas.
