Commentary
Léopold de Bavière (1821-1912) devient régent du Royaume de Bavière en 1886 alors que le roi Louis II est déclaré aliéné mental et est interné. A sa mort, son fils aîné lui succède et devient roi de Bavière en 1913 sous le nom de Louis III.
Leopold of Bavaria (1821-1912) became regent of the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1886 when King Ludwig II was declared mentally insane and was interned. Upon his death, his eldest son succeeded him and became King of Bavaria in 1913 under the name Ludwig III.
