Le droit de cette monnaie rappelle très étrangement le traitement de la tête du statère LT. 4305. Ce type est bien particulier et se détache de la série justement par ce style de tête ; il constitue la var. 5 de ce monnayage.
Ces monnaies étaient classées aux Bituriges Cubi. Le sanglier du revers est hybride, car il peut être lu à droite ou à gauche selon les jambes que l'on considère.

GALLIA - SOUTH WESTERN GAUL - PETROCORII (Area of Perigueux)
(1st century BC)
The Pétrocoriens or Pétrocores whose territory extended between the Dordogne and the Vézère on the current department of the Dordogne, (the former Périgord) had Périgueux for capital. They were part of Celtic Gaul and will then be attached to Aquitaine. They appear late as the Nitiobroges at the time of the final phase of the Gallic Wars.
