Monnaie frappée sur un flan arrondi. Droit usé, ou mal frappé. Revers bien frappé, mais légèrement décentré. Fine patine grise

Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Obverse description : Tête à droite à épaisses mèches flammées et mince bandeau orné sur le front ; oeil de face et oreille ; le cou orné d'un collier de perles.

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Croix bouletée au centre, formée de quatre cantons, chacun ornés d'une lunule.
Commentary
Le troisième canton est à peine visible, mais on distingue l'"oreille" qui l'orne. Cet exemplaire a un début de cassure de coins sur le bras droit de la croix. L'exemplaire Savès n° 319 est celui de la BN (n° 2954). Les drachmes de style languedocien sont majoritairement à gauche.

This people who occupied most of the departments of Aude and Hérault is mentioned neither by Ptolemy, nor by Strabo, nor by Caesar. Their coinage is known to us only by the treasures of Béziers (Hérault) discovered in 1871 and which contained between 750 and 800 coins of Languedoc style as well as that of Moussan in the Aude, discovered in 1967 and which contained 28 drachmas of style " Languedocian".
