Commentary

Cette monnaie appartient à une rare série aux multiples sources d’inspiration. Si style de droit rappelle certains statères du Cotentin, le revers s’insère bien dans le monnayage du Centre-Ouest, sous inspiration des séries lémovices au trèfle.
This coin belongs to a rare series with multiple sources of inspiration. While the obverse style is reminiscent of certain Cotentin staters, the reverse fits well with the coinage of the Centre-West, inspired by the Lemovice series with the trefoil.
