Bel exemplaire sur un flan large et ovale. Les types de droit et de revers sont assez bien centrés, avec une patine sombre et granuleuse

Le monnayage ATEVLA VLATOS se divise en deux classes ; la classe Ia a un demi-cercle centré sous la ligne d’exergue et un pentagramme au-dessus.
Cet exemplaire a des légendes presque complètes, et une double frappe au droit avec la légende ATEVLA une seconde fois derrière la nuque.
The ATEVLA VLATOS coinage is divided into two classes; Class Ia has a semicircle centered below the exergue line and a pentagram above. This example has almost complete legends, and a double strike on the obverse with the legend ATEVLA a second time behind the neck.

GALLIA BELGICA - REMI (Area of Reims)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Remi were one of the most powerful peoples of Gaul and loyal allies of the Romans. The territory of the Rèmes extended over present-day Champagne, along the Aisne. They had for neighbors the Atuatuci, the Treveri, the Mediomatrics, the Lingones, the Suessions, the Bellovaci and the Nervians. They denounced to Caesar the coalition of Belgian peoples of 57 BC which included the Suessions who shared the same laws and the same magistrates. Their main oppidum was Bibrax. The capital of the civitas in Gallo-Roman times was Durocortorum (Reims). Caesar (BG. II, 3-5, 7, 12; III, 11; V, 3, 24, 53, 54, 56; VI, 4, 12, 44; VII, 63, 90; VIII, 6, 11) . Strabo (G. IV, 3, 5).
