Potin complet, avec le droit et le revers complets. Jet et casse du jet de coulée bien visibles. Patine sombre, légèrement dorée

Commentary
Ce potin a la particularité d'avoir la chevelure marquée par des petits traits juxtaposés (ce qui caractérise la classe 2). Le seul autre retrouvé semble être celui du musée d’Evreux, n° 79 qui est repris par Gäumann pour son n° 120.

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)
(3rd - 1st century BC)
The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
