On June 20, the deputies of the Third Estate, as well as 149 representatives of the Clergy and 2 of the nobility, meet in the Salle du Jeu de Paume, in Versailles and swear not to separate until the Constitution is written. This assembly, which then had 1,200 deputies, sat first at Versailles and then at the Tuileries. From September 3 to 13, it votes the Constitution, which the King accepts. Its mission accomplished, it separated on September 30, 1791. It was immediately replaced by the Legislative Assembly..
