Obverse description : Portrait de Simone Veil, le numéro de déportation (le matricule 78651, qui lui fut tatoué sur le bras à son arrivée en avril 1944 dans le camps de concentration d'Auschwitz-Birkenau) de celle-ci apparaît sur un bandeau à la base de son col. En arrière-plan le Parlement européen dont elle assura la présidence de 1979 à 1982 est représenté.
