La Monnaie de Paris rend hommage au nouveau franc. Le 1er janvier 1960 était mis en circulation le nouveau franc suite au plan de relance Pinay-Rueff. Ce franc était appelé aussi couramment Franc Pinay ou Franc de Gaulle
