Les informations dont nous disposons actuellement font apparaître l’existence de quatre types différents d’essais de frappe de pièces Euro par l’établissement monétaire de Pessac.
Le type 0 de la 5 euro, essai de frappe monétaire dit de “Pessac”, est en frappe médaille. La couronne et l’insert (20 mm) sont non-magnétiques. Le poids est 10,62g et le diamètre de 28 mm, la tranche est lisse.
A ce jour nous avons connaissance de 3 exemplaires retrouvés pour la pièce de 5 Euro essai de frappe monétaire dit de “Pessac”, type 0.
Les pièces de 5 Euro ne furent pas adoptés, le billet de 5 Euro ayant été choisi.
The information we currently have indicates the existence of four different types of Euro coin strike tests by the Pessac Mint. Type 0 of the 5 euro, the so-called “Pessac” monetary strike test, is medal-shaped. The crown and insert (20 mm) are non-magnetic. The weight is 10.62 g and the diameter is 28 mm, the edge is smooth. To date, we are aware of 3 examples found for the 5 Euro coin, the so-called “Pessac” monetary strike test, type 0. The 5 Euro coins were not adopted, the 5 Euro note having been chosen
